Lemon Rice is a widely popular dish usually prepared in Karnataka, South India. Lemon Rice is made with ghee, urad dal, chana dal, peanuts, ginger, mustard seeds, dry red chillies, curry leaves, rice, salt, turmeric and of course lemons. It is a fairly simple rice dish recipe which can be cooked in under 15 minutes with ingredients readily available in your kitchens or at your local grocery stores. Lemon Rice is also known as Chitranna which is mildly spiced with a light fragrance of mustard seeds and curry leaves. It is tangy in taste and goes well with sambhar, curd or even coconut chutney.
